Ian has more than 20 years of combined, commercial, corporate and legal experience. Ian’s professional acumen ranges from negotiating intricate agreements to dispute resolution and embraces strategic business planning & implementation. As managing director of an advertising company, Ian successfully consulted to many of the world’s leading multinationals including Unilever, Givaudan, Chivas Regal and Revlon. Ian heads up our French office located on the Riviera in the Côte d’Azur and provides legal advice to clients based in the UK, France and Western Europe while overseeing the companies legal work.

Michael
Consultant Constuction Solicitor
A dual-qualified Solicitor and Chartered Quantity Surveyor with a total of 25 years’ experience in development, procurement, drafting, negotiation, delivery and resolution of complex construction, engineering and technology contracts and dealing with UK and international disputes.
Michael has a record for his diplomacy and negotiation skills whilst maintaining a tough contractual line in deals and disputes of significance.
Michael has experience of pre-contract negotiations, project commercial management, claims preparation for construction disputes (adjudication, litigation, arbitration and mediation), expert advisor and expert witness roles dealing with construction cost.Michael was previously an Equity Partner of the construction cost consultancy business, EC Harris/Arcadis, a company where he experienced rapid promotion over a 17-year period. He also worked on Secondment for 2 years in the leading International law firm, Pinsent Masons, where he was eventually targeted and involuntarily headhunted to work for an international Private Equity Firm before launching his own boutique legal and commercial consultancy in 2017.

Fran holds a Masters in Corporate Law and a Law Degree from ESADE. He is a member of the Barcelona Bar Association. Having lived in five countries, he is fluent in English, Spanish, Catalan and Italian.
Teresa

Teresa is a Spanish qualified lawyer with honours for her Bachelor’s Degree in Law and a degree in Criminology, both from the prestigious USC in Spain. With more than 15 years of commercial legal expertise in immigration, social services, employment and education; Teresa is versatile lawyer who is an expert at applying the law to all specific legal matters to provide accurate and practical advice to clients.
Teresa also holds a PGDE from LJMU and a QTS for the British educational system. This unique combination of qualifications and expertise enables Teresa to assist and advise secondary school clients with regards to legal issues pertaining to admissions, exclusions, safeguarding and special educational needs for schools located in Spain and more recently with reference to regulations surrounding to COVID-19 epidemic
Teresa is a humanitarian and volunteers her legal expertise to the Citizens Advice Bureau, South Liverpool.
David
Consultant Barrister

Called to the Irish Bar in 1991 and the English Bar in 1993, David is a tenant at 1MCB Chambers in London. He specialises in Employment Law, Housing Law, Public Law, human rights work and Intellectual Property Law. In 2012, David provided professional CPD training in 8-week courses on the principles of Copyright Law to the visual arts and music communities. The program was incorporated into a presentation in the Law Library in a joint run conference between the Visual Artists Association and The Bar Council.
David is the winner of the Henry Hunter Hamilton Memorial Prize for Law, the Kingsmill Moore Memorial Prize for History & Irish Public Interest and Pro Bono Lawyer of the year at the 2015 Irish Law Awards for his work as Director of The Irish Innocence Project.
David is the emeritus director of the Irish Innocence Project where he secured the first posthumous pardon in the history of The Irish state. He also sits on the Board of Home Action Ireland Housing Association and has held the academic position of Lecturer in Unfair Dismissal and Whistleblowing Law at the Middlesex University and Marker in Ethics and Criminal Practice for the Bar Standards Board. From 2016 to 2017 David was the Visiting Professor in Law and International Relations and Diplomacy at the Anglo-American University Prague.

Being Russell group educated, Joanna obtained a Law degree (LLB Law (Hons)) (London Guildhall), a Corporate Commercial Master’s degree (LLM) in International Trade Law and Intellectual Property (Queen Mary University), a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Research (Inns of Court School of Law, City University) and Barrister-at-Law, (Ghana Law School). Starting her career as a mentee for the magic circle firm Simmons & Simmons LLP, Joanna also worked Pro Bono with Travers Smith LLP on Employment issues and did a Trade Mark internship with one of Europe’s leading Trade Mark registration law firms and experts in brand protection. Joanna has also worked abroad as a barrister in corporate commercial law. Joanna’s technical skills focus on commercial contracts, intellectual property and trademarks. Working as a Legal Consultant, Joanna enjoys consulting within the Fashion, Hair & Beauty, Branding, Entertainment, Media & Music and Disruptive Technology sectors.
Kartikeya

Kartikeya is a dual qualified Barrister at the Bar of England & Wales and an Advocate at the Indian Bar. Kartikeya’s primary areas of practice are international commercial litigation and arbitration, corporate disputes, insolvency law and banking and financial law. Kartikeya’s main areas of focus are commercial arbitration and mediation.
Before completing his pupillage at a commercial set at the London Bar, Kartikeya obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Law (City, University of London) followed by the Bar Professional Training Course (City, University of London). Prior to the English Bar, Kartikeya completed a traineeship at the International Court of Arbitration at the International Chambers of Commerce in Paris and a placement at the International Court of Justice at The Hague. Kartikeya has trained and worked with multiple international law firms in their England and Middle East offices. Kartikeya has also previously worked as a legal consultant to the United Nations. Given his diverse experience, Kartikeya is particularly adept at handling cross-border and multi-jurisdictional legal challenges. Qualified in 2010, having succeeded with high value damages claims, he specialises in personal injury matters including road traffic accidents; slip & trip; injury at the work place & public areas, as well as clinical negligence. He has successfully dealt with high value general damages claims.
Waqar also provides legal advice and representation to clients on UK emigration. He has made successful emigrations applications for all tiers from Tier1 to Tier 5 and has won a number of appeals at Tribunals and Judicial Reviews for students, spouses and visit refusals.

Isabel
Spanish Client Liaison Consultant
Based in Pamplona, Isabel is fluent in Spanish and English and is the focal liaison co-ordinator for Spanish speaking clients based in the UK and around the world. Isabel assists clients with the assessment of their legal matters and with all related questions or concerns. Her role includes collating, translating and compiling client information and assisting with interparty negotiations to help clients understand the law and potential outcomes for their matters.

Edgar is a qualified lawyer from the Republic of the Philippines. Before becoming a lawyer, he had spent almost two decades of teaching in the university specializing in Physics and Mathematics. He has published a book and peer-reviewed social researches during his stint in the university. He finished full-time degrees in Secondary Education major in Physics, Master of Science major in General Science Education and PhD in Development Education, and Juris Doctor (Laws).
As a qualified lawyer, he provided pro bono service in the Integrated Bar of the Philippines Legal Aid Service for indigent clients in the broad areas of criminal and civil law. He has special skills in drafting and preparing pleadings and other legal documents. He specializes in Labour Law, Criminal Law, Civil Damages, Tenancy and Property Law. He is fluent in English and Filipino. Edgar liaises with the clients as to all the requirements of the claim from start to completion including assisting with the clients in securing agreements & other legal documentation; developing the clients’ chronologies in Filipino and then translating this to English (as and when relevant); formulating the client’s witness statements (as and when relevant) and collating all the clients’ relevant exhibits for the claims. He also assists clients in understanding all the facets of their legal claims and concerns.
